about

The lyrics were written on the bus from New York to Boston and based on the variety of billboards that I saw.
Jay and I then came up with the music and recorded the song in the School House Motel, room 1, North Conway, New Hampshire.

lyrics

We're your lawyers
We're on motorbikes
Tell us your pain
We'll understand

Get some road side food
From these handful of places
It's hungry work
Traveling the land

There's proof of God
Another billboard declares
A frightened baby
A bible reading

Losing your hair is a choice
At our clinic we've found the answer
We'll give you back your youth for bundles of cash
If you're balding at the back or receding

There's signs for everything
By the road tonight
But no sign of you anywhere
And if you're up ahead
on this road tonight
I hope you are taking care
Find your sort of place
Where it just feels right
Please tell me you'll wait there

Songwriting and banging your instruments together

The main thing I love to do is write songs. I pick up various instruments from ukulele to piano, accordion to percussion and electric guitar to harmonica and bang them about to try and get close to the noises I hear in my head but the writing comes first. ... more
